On March 30, Luhuo County hosted the Sichuan (Ganzi)-Nepal Youth "Double Innovation" Experience Exchange & High-Quality Development Symposium. Centered on the theme "Ingenious Heritage, Co-Creating the Future", the event celebrated the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal, fostering cultural exchange and collaboration between intangible cultural heritage (ICH) practitioners of both nations through mutual learning of traditional crafts and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.

In his opening address, Buduo, Deputy County Magistrate, emphasized three key initiatives:

1. Deepen Experience Sharing: Establish an online "Double Innovation" exchange platform to share policies, technologies, and market resources.

2. Promote Project Collaboration: Build offline ICH-focused innovation hubs to incubate cultural and craft-based cooperative projects.

3. Strengthen Friendship Foundations: Create an official-civilian "Double Innovation" cooperation mechanism to facilitate regular exchanges in education, technology, and cultural fields.

Speakers included Nepali artisans, provincial/state/county-level ICH inheritors, young entrepreneurs, and rural craftsmen, who shared insights on preserving heritage and pioneering ventures.

Wang Yingrong, Deputy County Magistrate, stated: "This symposium bridges our ICH artisans and youth, enabling resource synergy and shared progress. We urge young innovators to steer the tides of heritage preservation and entrepreneurship, jointly scripting a new chapter in China-Nepal friendship and high-quality development."

Aligned with China's national strategy of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", the event underscored the role of cultural diplomacy in regional cooperation. It highlighted how cross-border dialogue on ICH and innovation can empower sustainable growth.

Attendees included Yang Sheng, County Standing Committee Member and Head of Publicity Department; Zhaba, Deputy Director of the County People's Congress; and representatives from relevant departments.
