Kathmandu, April 9: The government has seen bias and misusing different organs in suppressing the state-organized terror at Tinkune on March 28.

It is astonishing that Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s senior vice chairman Rabindra Mishra and sitting Member of Parliament and also the general secretary of the RPP and dozens of others have been under Police remand since March 28.

Under the government instruction, the Kathmandu Police is trying to file different cases against them. The government is refusing to form an independent judicial enquiry commission.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu District Court has granted 15-day custody of Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s senior leaders Mishra, Rana, and others. On Tuesday, the court extended the remand by 15 days.

They have been accused of inciting and instigating the violent protests of the royalists in Tinkune on March 28. The court has extended the remand of 20 people, including Mishra and Rana, for 15 days.

Meanwhile, RPP chair Rajendra Lingden, addressing a mass assembly organized on Tuesday in Balkhu, said that the party has taken the attitude towards their leaders very seriously. He also demanded the immediate release of the RPP leaders without conditions.

“Otherwise, the RPP will be compelled to take serious actions”, Lingden warned.
