Kathmandu, April 7: The Air Quality Index of the Kathmandu Valley is very unhealthy today.

The AQI at 7 a.m. today was 211, which is considered to be very unhealthy. The PM 2-5 concentration is 27.2% higher than normal air quality.

The air quality is continuously detroriating yet the government has not taken any action to improve the air quality. Billions of rupees have been raised from the petroleum product consumers to improve environmental impact but where the amount is being spent, nobody knows.
