
Kathmandu, April 7: Victims of cooperatives, microfinance and banks have staged a sit-in near the President's residence, Sheetal Niwas, on Monday. They gathered at Ratna Park today and reached the President's Office.
They tried to hold a sit-in in front of the President’s residence, but were stopped by the police in the restricted area. The protesters displayed play cards saying, "Abolish the self-regulation of cooperatives, ensure the return of the victims' savings, and apply ointment to the victims' wounds," and shouted slogans demanding justice for the victims.
