
Kathmandu April 5: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli returned home after an official visit to Thailand today. Upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, PM Oli said that his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangkok was fruitful.
PM Oli met his Indian counterpart in Bangkok after concluding the sixth BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok.
PM Oli said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the Sagarmatha Dialogue in Nepal.
Modi conveyed that he would not be able to visit Nepal as he was scheduled to visit Europe, but a high-level delegation from India would be attending the summit, PM Oli said to the press at the TIA.
He said that discussions were held on various areas of mutual cooperation, including the Pancheshwar project, trade, and irrigation from Mahakali in Dodhara Chandni. There was an understanding that Nepal-India relations would be further broadened and strengthened and the problems seen would be discussed and resolved soon.
PM Oli also said that he may visit India soon, even before the Sagarmatha Dialogue if he will be able to manage time.
