Mr. Mahesh Lal Pradhan, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries pointed out the complex regulations to export to India while customs were relaxed and many a time not even levied to Indian imports.

He mentioned in the market-oriented system it was possible that individual business fixed their own prices. He also said that unless significant reforms were made in banking, electricity supplies, simplified and competitive excise and customs duties, business and commerce would not prosper as has been envisaged.
