The government was intended to disrupt the peaceful assembly organized by the Mega Movement to Save the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens of Nepal, led by Durga Prasain. According to the video clippings appeared in social media, even before the start of the formal program, the security personnel (?) are seen firing tear gas from the rooftop of a private house at the stage agitating the mass gathered for a peaceful assembly. That house was later set ablaze by some suspicious people, perhaps, those planted by the government or the party led by K.P. Sharma Oli, to divert the issue and make the situation violent. Otherwise, we saw a human sea of peaceful and disciplined mass receiving the former King upon his arrival from Pokhara on March 9. No unexpected incident occurred even when such a huge crowd was gathered from the Tribhuvan International Airport to the Nirmal Niwas in Maharajgunj.
The March 28 gathering at Tinkune was also aimed at a peaceful assembly. However, the government or the security or any unsocial elements intended to disrupt the assembly with the plan of giving a violent twist to the movement. Those corrupt leaders involved in different scandals and crimes are afraid of punishment if the present political order is changed.
The point to be noted is that the pro-monarchy groups had fixed the assembly date earlier than the republican groups led by the Maoist Center. This group captured the Bhrikutimandap area, the hub of the city, on the other hand, the pro-monarchy group was provided the Tinkune area by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu. The pro-monarchy groups accepted the venue without argument. If the government was not able to control the security, why did it permit the rival groups to organize an assembly on the same day?
Today, all are aware that the present constitution is imposed on the foreigners’ (Indo-West Christians') interests. There is a vested interest of George Soros of the Open Society. As we see one-sided reports in the so-called mainstream media, it makes clear that the Open Society’s investment is functioning in Nepal. The pro-republican political parties are also functioning under foreign influence. Understandably, the present debate is not only related to the agenda of monarchy or republicanism, this is the struggle between the pro-Nepal and anti-Nepal groups. We want a sovereign country with our own culture, tradition, language and civilization, which are being attacked attack under the present system.
Be sure, that the present expensive political system cannot function as economically, it is not viable. The government is managing funding by raising debts and each month, it is taking debts worth two billion rupees. Now, the country has reached the position where it needs to raise debt to pay back instalments of past debts. The global political scenario is also changing. The US is not going to fund foreign countries without a visible benefit to it. The European countries are also not in good shape to fund Nepal-like countries. Meanwhile, after the graduation of the country from the LDC status to the developing country status, Nepal will also lose many economic opportunities enjoyed as an LDC country. Nepal has not been able to secure revenue sources to meet the expenditure. Considering the present state of the economic base of the country, very soon, the present system is going to collapse itself. It will be unfortunate that when the political leaders say that the system cannot function, it will already be too late to rescue the economy as the nation will already be declared a failed state.
