Kathmandu, March 28: Police have fired tear gas and lath-charge on the pro-monarchy demonstrators in Koteshwar, Kathmandu.

Security police have arrested four people when the demonstrators tried to enter the prohibited area, said the Police. Tension has arisen after the police opened tear gas and lathi-charge.

The local administration has permitted the 'Mega Campaign for the Protection of Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizens' led by Durga Prasai and the 'Joint People's Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy' led by Nawaraj Subedi to demonstrate in Tinkune.

A large number of people have gathered at Tinkune demanding the restoration of the institution of monarchy. The so-called mainstream has tried to hide the human sea at the pro-monarchy demonstration, whereas, pro-monarchy participants are telecasting the visuals of the demonstration through different social platforms.
