Kathmandu, March 28: The political forces campaigning for the restoration of monarchy have said that today’s (Friday) demonstration in Kathmandu will be peaceful. But, the forces have warned that actions can have repercussions.

Royalists and republicans are holding separate demonstrations in Kathmandu today. According to the Kathmandu District Administration, the demonstration of the pro-monarchy forces will be held at Tinkune and the demonstration of the republicans will be held at the Bhrikuti Mandap.

In a press conference held on Thursday to inform about the protest assembly, Navraj Subedi, the coordinator of the 'Joint People's Movement Committee for the Restoration of Royal Institution', reminded the reality that conflicts, encounters, vandalism, arson, mass strikes, destructive violence, counter-violence and civil strife cannot be tolerated. He said that the movement for restoration of the Royal institution will be peaceful, yet, any action against the movement will have a severe reaction.
