Kathmandu, March 27: The ruling parties have decided to dismiss the land ordinances issued by the government and are preparing to present a new draft of a bill to present in Parliament.

At a meeting of top leaders of the ruling alliance parties held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday, discussions were held on moving forward by addressing the concerns of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal regarding the ordinance.

The Nepali Congress's chief whip, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, said, "JSP Nepal had some concerns regarding the land ordinance. The Prime Minister clarified that matter in the meeting. With that clarity, it was decided to make provisions in the bill. We have almost reached a consensus."

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal President Upendra Yadav, Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Ashok Rai, Nagarik Munnukti Party President Ranjita Shrestha among others.
