Kathmandu, March 25: With the start of the second main tourist season, the Annapurna Circuit Trek has seen an increase in trekking tourists. The months of Chait-Baishakh (March-April) and Asoj-Kartik 9September-October) are considered the best seasons for trekking in this region.
Trekking Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki President, Krishna Prasad Acharya, said that the number of tourists has increased since last week. “The weather is clear, the mountains are open, and the tourism sector is booming,” he said. “After the autumn season, many tourists enter Nepal during this season.
According to Chairman Acharya, along with foreign tourists, the attraction of domestic tourists has also increased in recent times. In the Annapurna Conservation Area, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Ghandruk, Tilicho Lake in Manang, Thorangla Bhanjyang, Upallo Mustang, Muktinath, Ghodepani in Myagdi, Khumai Danda in Kaski, Kori, etc. are the preferred destinations for trekkers. Chairman Acharya said that Annapurna Cycle Pathway is a world-famous destination for trekking.
