Kathmandu, March 24: Actress Manisha Koirala has expressed her desire to work in Nepali cinema.
After acting in the film ‘Pheri Bhetola’, she entered Bollywood and then acted in ‘Dharma’.
At the ‘Cinema Dialogue’ held in Kathmandu organized by the Nepal Film and Cultural Foundation, she said that she is willing to work in Nepali films again.
She said, “I am interested in working in Nepali films, Nepali writers and directors can offer me new and different subjects”.
She said that she has been following the changes and artistic style in the making of Nepali films of late.
She recalled that at the beginning of her career, she asked Nepali filmmakers to tell their stories. She understands that Nepali films made by imitating foreign films will not inspire her to be creative in the long run.
In recent times, Nepali films have been successful in both commercial and artistic fields.
In the interaction, actress Koirala said that she is not ready to come into politics and produce films. She was working on a book.
