Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba paid a pilgrimage to the Baba Baidhyanath Dham in Jharkhand.

She is scheduled to meet with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar after concluding her visit to Jharkhand. She also attended the Raisina Dialouge conference in New Delhi.

Sources say she was not invited to the Raisina Dialogue, instead, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s MP Swarnim Wagle was invited there. Wagle's name is listed among the invitiees but there is no name of FM Deuba. The Nepal Embassy is said to have put pressure to change the name.

The Ambassador to India is the special representative of the Deuba family rather than a representative of Nepal.

This is Deuba’s third visit to Delhi after she assumed office. This time, when her Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has alleged that there are foreign hands in defusing the present system, or say, Oli was indicating towards the human sea appeared in the Kathmandu Valley demanding a Hindu kingdom. Oil was also indicating that the human sea in Kathmandu was backed by the BJP’s Narendra Modi-led Hindu government in India.

It is a contradiction that the very Oli’s foreign minister is visiting India and Oli is blaming the Indian government for being active in demolishing the present political system in Nepal.

Moreover, a minister of a secular country paid homage to the Hindu shrine, Baba Baidhyanath.

We are confused that whether FM Deuba represents the Oli led government or she is in Delhi to develop grounds for her husband Sher Bahadur Deuba!

Burning Prachanda’s photograph

A youth leader belonging to the Rastriya Prajatantra Party burnt the photograph of the Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda at a function in Hetauda. He was arrested by the police immediately.

Is there anything mentioned about prohibition of burning any individual’s photograph in the constitution or has the law restricted while doing so?

The youth leader just burnt the photograph but didn’t kill above 17 thousand innocent Nepalis. Which crime is heinous, this Babbler is confused.

Chinese advice

China is Nepal’s friend and always supportive towards Nepal’s development. Attending a seminar on the Kastamandap Dialogue, Chinese professors Zhang Subin and Yunsong Huang suggested Nepali leaders saying that instead of fighting against each other, develop national consensus on political issues; give continuity to works of the previous government by the successive government; be self-reliant to save sovereignty and avoid economic blockade; discard the western grant imperialism.

They explained that BRI is based on non-interfarance principle and solely focused on development of the friendly countries. They explained that China doesn’t impose any kind of imperialism through the BRI.

Did the Nepali leaders get any lessons from the Chinese scholars?

S.D. Muni’s “blue-eyed boy”

We know, S.D. Muni is an anti-Nepali Indian scholar, who dreams to annex Nepal into India as like Sikkim. He always supported the destructive minds in Nepal.

When Raghuji Pant, a UML leader elected in Parliament from a proportional seat, or say, showing special kindness from UML Chair K.P. Sharma Oli, lambasted MP Gyanendra Shahi, when the latter advocated for the restoration of the monarchy, Muni commended Pant writing a status on X.

Helpless Muni is taking satisfication from the voices of Pant like republicans!

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

If there is a big hue and cry in the team of traitors, then understand, the king is great and has an excellent character.

Chanakya

This is an unfortunate era where traitors have captured the nation’s power.

Prem Suwal, NMKP MP

Providing lifelong facilities to those ex-VIPs is alike eating Ghee by taking debt.

Tanka Dahal

Should we believe that the King was dethroned by those who were unable to dismiss an Army Chief? Thousands of people in Nepal have read the write-ups by their guardians SD Muni, Shyam Saran, Pranav Mukharjee, among others.

Keshav P. Bhattarai

It has become difficult to meet the expenditure amount from the country’s revenue amount.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel

No one in Nepal enjoys corrupt family politics like Prachanda and propagates wrong things. The person who minted billions of rupees in the name of PLAs, and the person who played Holi with the blood of more than 17,000 should be taken to The Hague for action.

Mandira

The wealth of the leaders who entered Kathmandu wearing slippers is more than that of King Gyanendra, who enjoys his ancestors’ property. Ministers ride brand new luxury and expensive vehicles, but the King is riding the same old vehicle. Leaders go abroad for medical treatment but the King and his family undergo treatment in the country’s hospitals.

Prem Gharti Magar

Those who have received the “Dog’s Meal” from NC and UML have started to bark against the deposed King.

Dahal Chhetri Basu

Many foreign elements are involved in dividing Nepal and destroying the Vedic civilization. Around a dozen agencies including George Soros’ Open Society, USAID, Norway, DFID, are active in Nepal with this purpose.

Ananda Ram Paudel

Those leaders advocating for secularism should be restricted from entering the Hindu temples.

Netra Bikram Chand

The country has already been destroyed. Search for an outlet for the present crisis and find a solution by incorporating King Gyanendra.

Dwarika Nath Dhungel

People are prepared to ask the King to look after the public asset (Crown) again by returning the foreigner's asset (republicanism).

This country was saved by the King and the people unitedly. Again, the time has come to join hands with the King and people and save the nation.

Dr Devid Thapa

Except for leaders, their aides, businessmen, bureaucrats, brokers and journalists, who are involved in corruption, commission and fraud, the rest of the Nepali people are not happy with this political system.

Durga Prasain

This republic system gave nothing to the people except inundating the country in debt and political leaders and workers gaining fat.

Purushottam Dhungel

It is not a good idea to call 'slaves' to the supporters of the monarchy. Are the citizens of monarchical countries -- neighboring Bhutan, Britain and Japan should also considered 'slaves' of the king?

Dhurba H Adhikary

Can K.P., Deuba and Prachanda mingle with the people alike the deposed King? How long do you keep the people in conspiracy?

Laxmi Ghimire

If given the choice between the party's flag and the national flag, I would choose the national flag. When asked to choose between a party and my country, I will always choose the nation. I take pride in being Nepali.
