Kathmandu, March 17: Ruling Nepali Congress MP Ram Krishna Yadav has expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s preparations to enact a law to provide lifelong facilities to former distinguished officials.

He expressed his dissatisfaction while speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday. He said as there have been reports that a law is being made to provide lifetime facilities to former dignitaries, this should be stopped as the country’s economy is very weak. He said that the government needs to focus on controlling corruption, stopping youths from going abroad for employment and providing medical facilities to the general public.

He said, “The country is going through a bad economic situation.” In the face of criticism for not being able to intensify development projects and the government is unable to make effective public services, the act of proiding lifelong facilities to the former degnetaries shoud be stopped, he remarked.
