Kathmandu, March 17: The government has appointed AIG Deepak Thapa as the new IG of the Nepali Police. Today’s cabinet meeting decided to appoint AIG Thapa to the post of the IGP.
Thapa will be the 31st IG of the Nepal Police.
IGP Basanta Kunwar went on leave today.
Kunwar attended the farewell ceremony organized in honor of him today.
Thapa, currently chief of the Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police, is promoted to the post of the IGP by the cabinet meeting today.
