Kathmandu, March 15: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that Nepal’s political system is on the verge of change.

He said this while speaking at the ninth-anniversary program of Media Nepal held in Kathmandu on Friday. He said that monarchy and democracy are not against each other. He accused the media of creating confusion on whether to choose monarchy or democracy against the sentiments of the people in the current politics.

Stating that monarchy and democracy are complementary to each other, he said the media should fulfill their duties by giving proper suggestions.

Stating that monarchy has been in existence in Britain, the mother of democracy, for hundreds of years, Lingden argued that democracy with a constitutional monarchy and Hindu state would be established soon in Nepal.
