Kathmandu, March 15: Former Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Prakash Chandra Lohani, has said that democracy with constitutional monarchy and supremacy of the people is necessary in Nepal. He said this while speaking at the ninth-anniversary program of Media Nepal held in Kathmandu on Friday.

He stressed the need for a constitutional monarchy, democracy with people’s supremacy and a three-pillar political system of Hindu Rashtra. He claimed that the voice against the present political system has been raised as the political parties have exploited the people in the name of the people. He accused the incumbent government of misusing the constitution and acting against the constitution.

RPP’s senior leader Dr. Lohani accused the Nepali media of being biased by not reporting on relevant issues. He expressed anger over the big media not giving space to the reports on people welcoming the former King Gyanendra on Sunday, March 9, in Kathmandu.
