Kathmandu, March 14: Helicopter companies flying to the Annapurna Conservation Area should pay Rs 10 thousand per landing. Helicopters flying to the Area without prior registration should pay an additional ten thousand rupees or say 20 thousand rupees per landing. Annapurna Rural Municipality has amended its procedures with such provisions.
The Rural Municipality has implemented the Helicopter Flight Tourism Fee Management Procedure 2079 BS for the Annapurna Base Camp. The first amendment to this has recently been made, and a rule has been made that if a helicopter is flown without being registered, it will be charged double the fee. Registered helicopters will have to pay 10,000 rupees for each flight.
