Kathmandu, March 14: The process of appointing the new governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has begun. The government has formed a three-member recommendation committee to appoint the central bank governor.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers has formed a committee under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel comprising Bijaya Nath Bhattarai and Dr Bishwa Poudel.
Bhattarai is a former governor while Poudel is an economist. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on March 10 formed the governor recommendation committee.
