We extend our solidarity on the commoners’ aspiration to declare Nepal a Hindu Kingdom. We extend our solidarity on the demonstration of a human sea on Sunday, March 9. In the absence of monarchy, we saw rampant loot by the political leaders, we saw partisan politics in all the government agencies and educational institutions. The Bhagbanda politics destroyed the nation in every sector. Now, we are on the verge of being a failed state as our economy has already been ruined. Nepali youths are leaving the country as they see no future within the country. All the government undertakings have been ruined and government-run industries have been closed due to the heavy politicization making them the party workers recruitment center. The political leaders, in a shameless manner, are occupying the government land and doing unethical work even by amending laws. We saw many big scandals, including the Bhutanese refugee scandal; the Lalitaniwas land grab scandal; gold smuggling scandals; and Balmandir land occupying scandal and many other scandals, planned by those leaders either in the government or in the opposition now. We have been continuously lauding against such anomalies, and now, we have seen hundreds of thousands of people against this “loot-tantra”. Those people have come down to the streets to support the deposed king, who wished to rescue the nation from the prolonged crisis and perversions.
We are for a sustainable political system instead of the present system of feeding those political cadres only. We are against the present federalism, secularism and republicanism. We believe the nation’s economy should be strong and vibrant to uplift the nation and make the people prosperous. The present system is based on feeding the party workers but not the commoners. We are compelled to pay tax on every step we walk just to feed around 40 thousand people elected party workers. The nation’s treasury has become empty while feeding the political workers. We believe in good governance, which is possible through the formation of an impartial and non-political but powerful corruption-curbing agency. We believe in impartial justice, which is possible if the judiciary remains aloof from the political intervention. Finally, these things can be achieved if we have an institution above politics and that is the institution of monarchy. The human sea appeared on Sunday as a warning to the political leaders whether they wish to correct their past mistakes or they are ready to finish. If they are ready for a correction, let’s return to the 1990 constitution, otherwise, be ready to be finished.
