
Kathmandu, March 9: The pro-Hindu Kingdom groups including political parties and Sanatan Hindu followers are preparing for a grand welcome of the former King Gyanendra at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this afternoon. The former king is returning to Kathmandu from Pokhara after ending his visits to different parts of West Nepal.
Political parties and organizations, including the RPP and RPP Nepal, are carrying out rallies and demonstrations from various locations in Kathmandu to welcome the former king.
Rajendra Lingden-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Save Nepal’s Culture and Religion Campaign led by Durga Prasain, among others, are carrying out rallies from different parts of the capital city Kathmandu. According to a leader of RPP, its workers have been called from the surrounding districts of the Kathmandu Valley. They have been asked to be present with the national flag, flower garlands, banners and pamphlets with the picture of former King Shah.
The Shiv Sena Nepal led by Anil Basnet, Durga Prasai-led Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Protection Mega Campaign, Prasai-backed Civil Defense Force (CDF), Rashtra Shakti Nepal, Newa: Unity and Civil Society are also preparing to take to the streets to welcome the former King Shah.
Gyanendra Shahi, Member of Parliament from RPP has managed the preparation works for the welcome of the former King. According to him, people are coming from Kavre, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kirtipur, Nagarjuna to greet the former King.
Similarly, people from Gokarneshwor, Kageshwari, Shankharapur, Budhanilkantha, Tarakeswar, Dhading and Nuwakot are also arriving to greet the former King.
Other groups are also preparing to take out rallies from places like Jawalakhel, Chapagaun, Chyasal, Imadol Krishna Mandir. All the groups will gather at the gate in front of the airport and march towards the Nirmal Niwas, the private residence of former King Gyanendra, chanting different slogans, including “Come, King, Save the Nation”.
