Kathmandu, March 8: Those demanding restoration of the Hindu Kingdom organized a massive rally in Janakpur on Friday.
The demonstration rally starting from Janak Chowk of Janakpurdham reached different parts of the city chanting slogans including “Come King, Save the Nation”, and “…thieves quit from the country”, among others.
Prakash Rana, chairman of the Nepal Nationalist Civil Society, said that the protest was held as there was a need to bring back the king to the country as the republicans failed to deliver anything good for the people.
He accused the republican leaders of enjoying US dollars and selling the country to Christians. He stressed that monarchy with democracy is the need of the hour.
