Trump the Evil Destroyer – Underestimated by All

The pre-eminent American philosopher John Rawls has succinctly, but unknowingly and presciently described what motivates Donald J. Trump.
Trump is such an evil man that we cannot expect him to behave as a normal, decent human being.
Thus, he has unleashed untold misery not only on his own country, but the world at large.
Death and destruction await millions, if he and his minions are not checked in time. Unlike Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and renewal, Trump will only leave ashes in his wake.
Chaos at Home
In the domestic arena, Trump and his minions led by Elon Musk is sowing chaos all around.
Indiscriminate interference in the working of key institutions and haphazard sacking is leading to widespread mismanagement.
Interference Abroad
Not satisfied with spreading all-round disruption internally, Trump and his band of reckless and frenzied supporters are interfering in the internal affairs of erstwhile friendly nations.
The grave point is that the US Republicans and half of the American population did not realize what an evil man Trump was – completely underestimated. In fact, he was indeed the devil incarnate in sheep’s clothing.
The most vital ingredient missing in all of Trump’s (ir)rational endeavours is compassion. Without it, all of his actions are doomed.
As Rawls postulated: “The sense of justice is continuous with the love of mankind.”
For Trump, there is no love lost for humankind. He denigrates many people as coming from “shit-hole countries”.
American Christians supporting Trump are ignoring the vital component of compassion in thought and action and are on the wrong track.
Given the fragile edifice of Trump’s house of cards, and the debilitating pulls and pushes in various directions, some experts even expect a complete collapse – sooner, if not later!
It seems that among all the so called world leaders, only the war-time President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky had the balls to stand up to Trump and his imbecilic sidekick J.D. Vance.
Show of Force at the White House
It was indeed a pathetic showing by US President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance at the Oval Office in front of the entire national and international press.
At every twist and turn of the conversation, Trump and Vance teamed up to brow-beat Zelensky, who in turn bravely withstood the unfair attacks.
It was in no way a gentlemanly conversation, nor a debate or even a negotiation, as the Trump-Vance duo was only interested in cutting the Ukrainian president to size. The naked bullying was unseemly all the way.
And, of course, in plain sight, the infamous duo were trying to shove Putin’s view of the Ukrainian War down Zelensky’s throat.
During the course of the altercation, it became eminently clear that both Trump and Vance were traitors to the American cause and revealed themselves as Russian stooges.
It was indeed a colossal disgrace seeing the two leading representatives of the so called “free world” taking Putin’s side against a courageous people defending their sovereignty and territorial integrity [also protected by the UN Charta].
Concerned Americans have already started demonstrating in front of the White House.
Europe Must Now Be Standfast & Steadfast
The European leaders have to now get their house in order – its now or never. What they do will impact the whole world. Such is the time we are in.
Under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer, they are attempting to put together “a coalition of the willing”, but still hoping [mistakenly] for US participation.
Negotiations are also underway for a lasting and just peace.
There is special hope in the new German leadership. After all, both Macron of France and Starmer of Britain attempted to pander to Trump did not succeed.
The attempt to placate or even appease Trump has failed miserably, just as Britain’s Neville Chamberlain’s policy of appeasement vis-à-vis Adolf Hitler failed in 1938.
Like Hitler, Trump cannot be satiated.
In this time and age, madman Trump has imperialistic designs on Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal, Gaza and now on the rich minerals of Ukraine.
In the latter case, he wants to grab Ukraine’s mineral wealth without offering any security guarantees against Russia, claiming that enough military aid has already been granted.
Europe must, therefore, plan for a parting of the ways, because the United States has now become a rogue state. This is also the path that the new, presumptive German Chancellor Merz is attempting.
The geopolitical concept of the West has now become outdated – in the course of just a few weeks!
The European countries must consolidate and synchronize their defence industries – in cooperation with Ukraine.
The only two European nuclear powers – the U.K. and France – must enhance their nuclear capability and provide the necessary deterrence to the western half of Eurasia.
As regards leadership, a Triumvirate of the U.K, France and Germany would be ideal under the present circumstances – until Germany pushes forward by virtue of its sheer size and industrial power to become primus inter pares.
In the meantime, Russia’s economy is also under extreme stress and strain. How long can Putin play the ‘the waiting game’? Unfortunately, Trump and Vance are only giving Putin a respite and playing into his hands. If the European powers can inject more military aid and if the Ukraine armed forces can hold out for a few months more, Putin will be on the receiving end.
Trump can bask in his ephemeral glory for now, but as the saying goes – ‘time and tide wait for no man’:
“I am monarch of all I survey,
My right there is none to dispute;
From the centre all round to the sea
I am lord of the foul and the brute.”
