Kathmandu, March 1: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has decided to a fine of Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 on anyone found disposing waste in public places.

According to the KMC Environment Department, a fine of Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 will be imposed for dumping, placing or storing the waste in public places.

According to Sarita Rai, the head of the KMC Environment Department, such an act has been completely banned as it causes bad smells and has a serious impact on the public health of citizens.
