
Kathmandu, February 23: Chinese Minister for Ethnic Affairs Pan Yue has arrived in Kathmandu today. He arrived in Kathmandu from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was received by high-ranking officials of the Indigenous People’s Commission at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Chinese Minister is on a visit to Nepal at the invitation of the Indigenous People’s Commission. Minister Pan is a member of the cabinet led by Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will be in Nepal for four days.
In September 2024, Commission Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa Magar visited Beijing during his visit to China, he had a meeting with Minister Pan. During the same meeting, Chairman Thapa extended a formal invitation to Minister Pan to visit Nepal.
Minister Pan has been handling minority community affairs in China.
