Kathmandu, February 18: The House of Representatives has approved the proposal of the Nepal Citizenship Second Amendment Bill. After Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak presented the bill in the meeting on Monday, Speaker Devraj Ghimire presented the proposal for decision. The House approved it with a majority.

On Sunday, Home Minister Lekhak presented the proposal for a general discussion on the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081. The proposal was discussed by the MPs and the Home Minister had already responded to it.

However, due to a lack of quorum, it could not be approved on Sunday. On Monday, with a necessary quorum, the proposal was approved.
