Kathmandu, February 14: UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the government is committed to passing the ordinances even by using different alternatives.

As the ordinances are also the laws of the country, they have to be passed and the government will not stop it from being passed.

He said this while addressing an interaction program on ICT-based entrepreneurship and a new path to economic prosperity for Nepal held at the CPN-UML central office in Chyasal on Friday. He said that the ordinance brought by the government was aimed at making the country’s economy dynamic and promoting the industry sector. He said that efforts to oppose the ordinance would not fail.

He noted that the two major political parties in the government have consciously brought the ordinances and said that there are many options to pass. Using the alternatives, the ordinances would be incorporated into the state law.

Pokharel said, “Now the government has tried to address this sector through the ordinances. Do not think that the attempt will fail as soon as the ordinances are opposed. Because that effort is a work consciously brought about by the major parties. In that sense, we hang it anyway. There are many options. Even if we use the option, we will adapt it to the law of the state. However, the order is legal”.
