Kathmandu, February 14: SmartChoice Technologies Limited, a payment system operator licensed by the Nepal Rastra Bank, and Alipay Plus, have signed an agreement to operate payment services for Smart QR merchants through Alipay Plus.
Alipay Plus has been providing international payment services through digital and mobile banking in countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
After this agreement, more than 1.6 billion users of Alipay will be able to pay the merchant associated with Smart QR. Smart QR is the first interoperable QR code in Nepal to be issued under the Nepal QR standard, following the prevailing international standard E.M.V. standard for QR codes.
It is believed that after this agreement with customers at home and abroad, it will be easier for Smart QR merchants to receive international payments.
