Kathmandu, February 13: Private sector-operated Nepali international airline company, Himalaya Airlines, is set to launch direct flights in the Pokhara-Lhasa sector from March this year.

Himalaya Airlines, a joint venture between Nepal and China, announced this on Wednesday. The company has announced that it will start direct flights from March this year. This will be the first scheduled flight from Pokhara International Airport.

Although charter flights have been operating to Pokhara before, regular flights have not yet operated. Pokhara is the tourism capital of Nepal. Himalaya Airlines is operating direct flights to this destination, targeting Chinese tourists.
