Kathmandu, February 7: Leader of the main opposition party and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal warned of protesting attempts to sell the country to the mafia by misusing the majority in parliament. He said this while addressing Thursday’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

“I still see that the alliance partners are afraid that the Maoist Center may topple the coalition government”, he said.

“I reiterate once again that we are no longer in the power game. As you can see, we have returned to the people with the move of achieving the dreams and resolutions of the martyrs," he said. Sometimes, we were a little away from the basic class. With that dust and dirt, we went back to the poor, the marginalized, and the deprived castes.

We don't have to sing the slogan of transfer of power every day, we don't have to swear by saying “I will truly leave this post” in so many days. I wish you to go together only till 2027, then after, we will form the government in our own capacity," he said.

We are not in the game of formation for a government, but we will protest if you continue to sell the country to the mafia by misusing the majority of parliament as it is now,” Dahal warned the government.
