
Kathmandu, February 3: The government has formed a committee to resolve the ongoing dispute on the construction of a cable car in holly shrine Pathibharain Taplejung.
A committee led by Joint Secretary of the Home Ministry, Prem Prasad Bhattarai, is assigned to hold talks with the local representatives who are against the construction of the cable car there.
The government team is comprised of representatives from the Federal Affairs, Culture, Tourism and Communications ministries.
The committee will immediately start talks with the agitating group and reach a conclusion, according to the Home Ministry.
Local people in Far Eastern Nepal have halted transportation on the Mechi Highway for several days protesting against the construction of the cable car to reach the Pathibhara Temple.
