Kathmandu, February 3: Today is Basanta Panchami, also known as the day to worship Goddess of wisdom and education, Saraswati.
Today is also known as the day to start education by children.
President Ramchandra Paudel, including other degnetaries, will attend the Basanta Shrawan event at Nasal Chowk, Hanuman Dhoka this morning.
Devotees and students visit different Saraswati temples across the nation. In Kathmandu, people visit Manjushree Temple in Swayambhu and Nil Saraswati Temple in Gairidhara.
