Former home minister and leader of the Maoist Center, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, said that when he attempted to maintain good governance, the previous coalition government collapsed.

He said that big parties joined hands and formed the present coalition government overnight when their men started to face action on the charge of being involved in corruption and crimes.

The present government is focused on protecting those corrupts by stopping good works started by the previous government, Shrestha remarked.

“When the government is busy protecting those corrupts, how can we expect good governance from the government,” Shrestha questioned.

He remarked that the general public is unable to expect any hope of relief from the present government.

Addressing a press meet program in Sandhikharka, Shrestha said that when the government having a two-thirds majority is unable to give relief, the general public is frustrated with the government.
