Kathmandu, February 2: The government registered two bills in the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament on Saturday. The bill to break up the Civil Aviation Authority has been registered in the House of Representatives.

Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey has registered two bills. Among the registered bills are Bill 2081 to amend and unify the laws related to Civil Aviation Authority Nepal and Bill 2081 to establish and regulate Nepal Air Service Authority.

At present, the Civil Aviation Authority has taken responsibility for the air service provider and regulatory body. If the bill registered on Saturday is passed, it will pave the way to separate CAAN into two separate authorities.
