Kathmandu, February 1: The Tribhuvan International Airport will be operational for 16 hours from today (Saturday). As the physical progress of the three projects' infrastructure expansion at the TIA has completed 60 percent of the construction work near the runway, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) decided to reduce the closing hours by adding the operating hours of the TIA.

Earlier, CAAN had closed the TIA for 10 hours from 10 pm to 8 am daily.

From today (Saturday) the airport is opening from 7 am to 11 pm daily.
