
Kathmandu, February 1: The Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the price of petroleum products.
NOC, in a statement on Friday, increased the price of petrol by Rs 2 per litre with effect from February 1.
The price of diesel has been increased by Rs 4 per litre, while the price of aviation turbine fuel has been increased by Rs 6 per litre in the domestic sector and $43 per litre in the international sector.
According to the new price, now petrol has become Rs 164.50 per litre in the first group, Rs 166 in the second and Rs 167 in the third, while diesel has become Rs 157.50 in the first group, Rs 159 in the second and Rs 160 in the third.
The first group includes Charali, Biratnagar, Birgunj, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi areas. The second group includes the areas of Susurkhet and Dang, while the third group includes Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal.
According to the NOC, as the Indian Oil Corporation sent a new tariff, the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene have been adjusted according to it.
