Kathmandu, February 1: The Council of Ministers, at its meeting on January 28, decided to accept one hundred million US dollars in concessional loan assistance from the World Bank for Greenery, Uplifting, and Inclusive Development Programs under the World Bank’s Development Policy Loan.

Making the Cabinet decision public on Friday, the government’s spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung informed us about accepting the WB loan.

Minister Gurung also informed that according to Section 21 of the Direct Sale of Goods (Management and Regulation) Act, 2074, the Director General of the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has been appointed as the inspection officer and the jurisdiction of the inspection officer will remain throughout Nepal.
