
Kathmandu, January 30: Former King Gyanendra Shah is going to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India today (January 30) from Bhairahawa.
The King is performing special pooja at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur.
There is a tradition of offering “Khichadi” a cuisine from rice and lentil to Lord Gorakhnath by the Nepali King.
To continue the tradition, the King is visiting Gorakhpur from Bhairahawa, according to Dr. Phani Pathak, the King’s Press Secretary.
The King is stationed in Bhairahawa for several days.
According to Pathak, Yogi Aadityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is also attending the traditional ritual and holding a meeting with the King in Gorakhpur.
