Kathmandu, January 25: The Mahalaxmi Development Bank organized a special program for distributing prizes to the winners of the

“Mahalaxmi Development Bank Bizchitra Photography Competition – Edition 2,” on January 23.

Prizes were distributed to the first, second, and third places and public choice award winners at a function held at Darbar Marg in Kathmandu. In the competition, Suvas Shrestha, Saurabh Bajracharya and Paras Raj Barjacharya were successful in winning the first, second and third prizes respectively. The winners received cash prizes of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Ghanshyam Shrestha has been successful in winning the Public Choice Award by receiving the most votes in Public Choice. He received a certificate of Rs 5,000. In addition, 15 best photographers were awarded certificates on behalf of the bank during the award distribution program.

In order to participate in the competition, various photographs were received by different photographers in accordance with the rules of taking and sending photos depicting local small and medium-sized businesses. All the photos included in the competition were excellent and intended to convey a positive message through locally run businesses. The 15 best images were selected by a three-member judging panel to evaluate the competition. The bank believes that such actions will help local businesses, and entrepreneurship, promote and promote local art.
