
Kathmandu, January 23: The Mahalaxmi Development Bank has carried out various events under the Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
The Bank contributes to different fields such as financial literacy, education, health, disaster management, environmental protection, cultural promotion, infrastructure construction, sustainable development goals, human service, and charity work.
Under this program, the Bank has distributed 55 Polar jackets to the students of the underprivileged class due to the lack of warm clothes and various health problems in the winter season.
The Bank has distributed it to 55 out of 83 students studying in Sri Kalidevi Primary School located at Thaha Municipality-11, Deurali, Makwanpur under the Palung branch of the Bank.
In addition, the Bank has provided financial support to conduct a program called “Sensation Unsees” (Invisible Pearls) organized to promote inclusivity, diversity and creativity, highlighting the extraordinary talent of visually impaired artists in coordination with Sarvodaya Project, a non-governmental organization. The Bank believes that this work will help to showcase the talents of people with disabilities and show their presence in society, as well as help build an inclusive society.
The Bank believes that the institutional social responsibility activities undertaken by the Bank will contribute to the overall economic and social development.
The Bank has recently introduced “Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi” by refining the mobile application in line with the Bank’s policy to provide customers with state-of-the-art, secure and intuitive digital banking facilities.
