According to Hindu philosophy, there are two opposite ages globally—Satya Yuga and Kali Yuga—besides Treta and Dwapar, which are between these two. Satya Yuga means a period of righteousness and virtue. Humanity in this period would be holy, pure, loving, honest, cooperative, kind, compassionate, and God-fearing. They do everything thinking that God, the supreme omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent power, is supervising their karma, and they are rewarded or punished accordingly. No one can escape His judgment, so they try to be as good as they can.
On the other hand, in Kali Yuga, the opposite of Satya Yuga, humanity in this period would be corrupt, dishonest, self-centered, non-cooperative, and arrogant. People would lack moral and ethical values. They do not accept the existence of God and think they are God themselves. As a result, this period would be a time of strife, hatred, quarrels, and discord. They try to cheat others to any extent, in whatever way they can.

According to the book of prophecies, "Bhavishya Malika", the predictions were written in the Odia language, one of the constitutional languages of India, on palm leaves by five great saints known as the 'Panchasakha'—Shishu Ananta Das, Achyutananda Das, Jagannath Das, Balaram Das, and Jashobanta Das—about 600 years ago. The present period is Kali Yuga, which has been continuing for the last 5,000 years. Recently, the "Bhavishya Malika Purana" was written in Hindi based on the original texts, following forty years of study and research by Pandit Shree Kashinath Mishra, and it was published in 2023. Due to its mystery, popularity, and public interest, the book has been translated into English, Russian, Japanese, and several other languages, including almost all regional languages of India
According to this book, the present time is the end of Kali Yuga, and Satya Yuga will start in 2032. Before that, the period will be one of complete destruction and disaster. This will become most visible from March 29, 2025, onward, when Shani Rashi enters Min Rashi.
The text contains extensive predictions about societal, natural, and spiritual events, including prophecies for 2025. Key predictions include:
1. Natural Disasters - The period from 2022 to 2027 will be marked by significant calamities such as earthquakes, floods, volcano eruptions, climate disruptions, and rising global temperatures. These events signal intensifying environmental challenges, including glacier melt and water shortages.
2. Global Conflict - A devastating third world war is predicted, lasting six years. India is expected to join the conflict later and face significant adversaries. The war may coincide with celestial phenomena, such as the appearance of two suns in the sky, symbolizing catastrophic events.
3. Societal Changes - Predictions describe shifts in moral and cultural norms, including declining traditional values, changing marital and family structures, and increasing materialism. These changes are seen as symptoms of Kaliyuga's degradation.
4. India's Role - The text foresees India countering attacks from adversaries like China and Islamic nations, ultimately leading to their fragmentation and India's consolidation. This is linked to the eventual advent of Lord Kalki, who will restore dharma (righteousness).
5. Religious Signs - Changes in worship and religious practices are anticipated, with a move away from traditional rituals. The Jagannath Temple in Odisha is highlighted as a focal point for omens signaling the end of Kaliyuga.
The prophecies also describe many signs to be seen before the coming of the Kalki Avatar, such as:
1. The breaking out of a fire in the gem-studded "Chandua" (canopy) placed over the deities in the Jagannath Temple.
2. The presence of ominous birds - vultures, Eagles, and Hawkes, perching atop the temple.
3. The burning of the flag atop the Jagannath Puri Temple.
At the same time, it was foretold that a Brahmin named Shree Kashinath Mishra would share this prophecy with the world during the final phase of the Kali Yuga.
According to reports, these signs signal the end of Kali Yuga and the coming of Satya Yuga, which have been witnessed over the past 15–20 years. Remarkably, a person named Pandit Kashinath Mishra, after extensive study and research, published a book on this subject. He has been disseminating this knowledge through various means—writing, public speaking, and organizing seminars and conferences—as astonishingly predicted centuries ago.
Bhavishya Malika predicts that Lord Jagannath, who originally resided in a non-manifest form, assumes a human form. Kalki, the incarnation of Madhav, the God Narayan, will appear on Earth in human form. He will destroy sinful acts and sinful people by bringing nuclear war, heavy rain, floods, snowfall, tsunamis, heavy winds and tornadoes, drought, fire, epidemics of deadly diseases, and other disasters. Believers in this prophecy think that events such as the unusually heavy floods of 2024 in Nepal and India, the recent earthquake in Tibet, the uncontrollable wildfires in Altadena, California, the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Palestine war, the recent flood and also snowfall in Saudi Arabia, and the hefty snowfall in Europe and America are all signs of it.
According to the prophecy, unimaginable disasters will lead humans to kill one another and eat human flesh due to food shortages. After the end of this catastrophic period in 2032, Satya Yuga will be established on Earth. Sinful people will cease to exist, and humanity will become righteous, virtuous, honest, and loving. Human life expectancy will extend to more than 1,000 years. That will be a period of peace and happiness with plenty of organic food and fruits, unpolluted air and water, and no problems for anyone. Human beings will be free of tension and diseases. There are many predictions that we generally think are unthinkable, unimaginable, unbelievable, and absurd. Whether we believe it or not, this is the claim of *Bhavishya Malika*.
On the other hand, scientists assert that the temperature of the Earth is increasing day by day. The rise in CO2, methane, and nitrous oxide in the atmosphere since the industrial era is a direct result of human activities, primarily due to the greenhouse gases produced by industrial processes, deforestation, and other anthropogenic sources.
Renowned climate change and global warming experts such as James Hansen, Jason Box, Kevin Anderson, Gavin Schmidt, and Katharine Hayhoe have been warning the global community about the consequences of a warming atmosphere. These include a warmer and more acidic ocean, rising sea levels, significant changes in precipitation patterns, and other drastic environmental shifts. Through their studies and research, they have shown serious concern and urged immediate action to mitigate global warming.
At the same time, researchers and scientists studying global warming argue that humanity has exploited the Earth in the name of discovery and industrialization to such an extent that it is now nearing irreparable damage. They believe global warming is spiraling out of control due to the failure to take promised actions seriously over the past decade.
In this context, Acharya Prashant, the founder of the Prashant Advait Foundation and a spiritual teacher from India, has presented scientific evidence highlighting the impending destruction. His compelling presentation, delivered on January 1, 2025, detailed the consequences of global warming, such as heavy rains, floods, snowfall, tsunamis, tornadoes, droughts, and wildfires. The presentation is available for viewing on the YouTube.

It is not easy for me to believe in prophecies. At the same time, it is difficult for me to deny what was predicted by these great saints—holy spiritual human beings who were beyond my knowledge and capacity to understand. This is a great mystery to me. Similarly, it is harder for me not to believe the great scientists mentioned above and Acharya Prashant, whose predictions are scientifically backed and witnessed daily.
When I consider the deteriorating situation of my country—not only environmentally but politically, economically, morally, and ethically, with rampant corruption, injustice, exploitation, dishonesty, and bad governance—it feels as though the challenges have grown beyond human control. I feel that not only is Kali Yuga ongoing, but a darker and more oppressive phase has descended upon Nepal. It seems the nation is in the grip of leaders who, like demons, view themselves as gods and goddesses, treating citizens as mere sheep, blind to their misdeeds. Unbearable bad governance is marred by mismanagement, nepotism, favoritism, exploitation, and a high degree of corruption. Worse still, it feels as though these demon-minded individuals in power expect people to believe even their most absurd claims—such as the sun rising in the West—emboldened by the unquestioning loyalty of their followers.
In this context, I always wish the prophecies predicted by "Bhavishya Malika" were true for the destruction of unrighteousness. I hope some incarnation, like Kalki, will come soon and establish the rule of righteousness.
