
Kathmandu, January 20: Deputy Speaker Indira Rana has said that the relationship between Nepal and China is a high priority. Addressing the parade program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of Chinese New Year and Visit Nepal Year 2025, Deputy Speaker Rana expressed the opinion that there is a harmonious and problem-free relationship between the two countries and Nepal has prioritised relations with China.
“Nepal and China have close, friendly and historic relations. The roots of our relationship are deep and multi-faceted”, she said, “We are delighted with the harmonious and problem-free relationship between the two countries and we attach great importance and priority to our relationship with China”.
Rana reiterated that Nepal has always been a strong supporter of the One-China policy. “Nepal has always been a strong supporter of the One-China policy and will remain committed to it in the future,” she said.
She said Nepal would always cherish China’s unconditional respect for Nepal’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence.
Chinese Ambassador Chen Song said that the parade is of special significance in celebrating the 70th anniversary of China-Nepal diplomatic relations and the Chinese New Year, and expressed confidence that it will be an excellent opportunity to advance the close ever-growing ties between the two countries.
