
Kathmandu, January 20: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the ordinance has been brought to bring in foreign investment and to create an investment-friendly environment in the country. He said that the ordinances have been brought as per the demand of the industrialists by removing unnecessary hurdles for foreign investors.
He said that the federal parliament session will soon be convened and the ordinances will be presented in the first meeting of Parliament.
“Industrialists have extended thanks to the government after issuance of the ordinance,” the minister said at a press conference held in Mahendranagar on Sunday.
“There have been a few dissenting voices in the process of calling the House.” The government is ready to convene the House, he said.
He said the Nepali Congress and the UML have come together for economic prosperity and political stability. He claimed that the government would run according to the seven-point agreement reached between the Nepali Congress and the UML.
There is no problem between the alliance partners in the government. Various kinds of rumors are heard from time to time. But there is no complication between us,” he said. “This equation will continue until the 2027 elections.”
