Dr Bhim Rawal is a patriotic leader. He was able to become the vice chairman of the UML. Rawal, a pillar for the UML in West Nepal, didn’t get responsibility in the party since he dared to challenge K.P. Sharma Oli by contesting the party election to the post of party chair.

In fact, Rawal was criticizing the Indian hegemony and the American design in Nepal, the party leadership didn’t like his role. Rawal strongly criticized MCC and it became the main reason for being ousted from the party he shed his sweat for decades.

The party expelled Rawal and it was hoped that other communist parties including the Unified Socialist Party led by Madhav Nepal would welcome Rawal. However, Rawal didn’t get space in any of the communist parties. It was highly expected that Rawal would open a new party, which, he has postponed for the time being and launched the Motherland Awareness Campaign.

A journalist friend close to a communist party whispered to this Babbler, “Foreign powers don’t like patriotic people!”

Surely, it is true.

George Soros is awarded

Outgoing American President Joe Biden, before his departure from the US President’s Office, awarded George Soros, chief of the Open Society, for his contribution to destroying the Eastern civilization. Yes, the Joe Biden Administration seems satisfied with the role of the Open Society and George Soros. The Open Society is considered to be the deep state of the USA. In Nepal, the Society is openly running its office and carrying out its secret works. About a dozen media and also dozens of local NGOs are getting regular funding to serve the secret task assigned by the Society.

Although the Nepal government allowed it to operate its office here, the Indian government didn’t allow it. However, the society-sponsored people were active in failing the Modi government in India. Now, debates are on about the role of the Open Society against the BJP during the recent elections in India.

Meanwhile, some media known to be members of the Open Society have eventually appeared with an anti-Indian and pro-Nepal image overnight. Maybe, this is also a deep-state design!

When the commission is formed

When the government forms a commission or a probe committee, we should become clear that it is avoiding the issue.

We all know that the country’s flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, is very sick and it needs immediate treatment. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has constructed many political airports and they are not in operation. Nepal Airlines, under its social responsibility, was operating regular flights in some of the airports in remote districts and is facing a severe scarcity of STOL aircraft. Also, many international airlines are flying to Kathmandu but our airlines are unable to fly to the destinations from where the international airlines are operating flights. International airlines are enjoying a monopoly business and taking high airfares from travelers. If Nepal Airlines had been able to operate flights to those destinations, the monopoly business of the foreign airlines could have been ended and the airfare could have been reduced.

When we talk about boosting tourism, our national airlines should remain healthy. Nepal is a landlocked country, therefore, the importance of airline business is important.

Unfortunately, those people in the government just talk about empowering Nepal Airlines but never take a bold decision. Almost every government forms a powerful committee or commission to strengthen the national flag carrier but never takes bold decisions to operate the Corporation smoothly. Just recently, a parliamentary committee has been formed to study the sick Corporation. Such a committee is not necessary, instead, they needed to study the past reports submitted by different committees and commissions.

Managing the necessary funds to purchase new aircraft both for domestic and international destinations is important rather than wasting time by constituting one after another committee.
