
Kathmandu, January 13: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has informed about Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China and the United Nations to the International Relations Committee of the Parliament on Monday.
She said that PM Oli participated in the 79th United Nations General Assembly and contributed significantly to strengthening Nepal’s international relations and strengthening Nepal’s presence on the world stage.
During the visit, Prime Minister Oli and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed the progress made in Nepal’s peace process, the UN’s support for mitigating the impact of climate change in Nepal, Nepal’s support for the development and strengthening of the United Nations and Nepal’s contribution to peacekeeping under the United Nations.
Minister Rana said that PM Oli’s visit to China was also successful. She insisted that PM Oli’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to China was important.
