Kathmandu, January 12: The Office of the Attorney General has submitted its report for the fiscal year 2080/81 to President Ram Chandra Paudel. Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, spokesperson of the President’s Office, informed that Attorney General Ramesh Badal submitted the report of the fiscal year 2080/81 to President Paudel at a program held at Shital Niwas today.

According to the statement, Attorney General Ramesh Badal has submitted the annual report of the Attorney General for the fiscal year 2080/081 to President Paudel in accordance with Article 159 of the Constitution of Nepal.

During the program, President Paudel said that the work of government cases, including investigation, prosecution, debate, lobbying and defense, should be more scientific, effective and factual. “I think the issue of victims not getting justice or not being victim-friendly is more important than just increasing the success percentage of the case”. President Poudel said, “Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Attorney General not only to punish the accused but also to ensure that the victim gets justice with compensation.”
