Kathmandu, January 11: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) organized a unity rally starting from King Mahendra’s statue in King’s Way to King Prithivi Narayan’s statue in front of Singha Durwar. The RPP leaders paid respect to the late King Prithivi and offered garlands on the statue on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the same afternoon, the party organized a tea reception at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 303rd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah and National Unity Day. From the Prime Minister to the top leaders of various parties were present at the tea reception in Bhrikutimandap.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Foreign Minister Arju Rana, Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal, Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Acting Chairman DP Aryal, general secretary Kavindra Burlakoti, MPs Ramhari Khatiwada and Amaresh Singh, among others, were present at the tea reception.
