Kathmandu, January 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and RPP-Nepal Chair Kamal Thapa met this morning. During the meeting, they discussed the current political situation.
In the meeting, PM Oli informed that the government is committed to amending the constitution based on consensus. While clarifying that he had talked about amending the constitution in 2087, PM Oli said that it would take time to reach a consensus as some parties in the parliament were saying that they would not allow the amendment and in such a situation, they were of the opinion that it could push back the constitution amendment process.
On that occasion, Thapa also drew the Prime Minister's attention to the fact that the country is currently going through a serious crisis.
