Kathmandu, January 10: A Chinese team has reached Koshi Province, showing the desire to invest in hydropower and tourism. The team met Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki in Biratnagar on Friday.

The Chinese team at the meeting said that they are willing to work in the tourism and hydropower sectors as an investment environment.

In the discussion, Chief Minister Karki said that the government is ready to create an environment for investment. On Thursday, the Chinese team met the minister of the state and head of the Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality, Nagesh Koirala.

An 11-member team led by Wang Zhi Zhang from China Power Company and Sino Hydro Company arrived in Biratnagar on Thursday. During the meeting, Zhang said that he wanted to invest in Nepal. According to Revathiraman Bhandari, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Koshi Province, the Chinese team said that they are ready to invest in the tourism and hydropower sectors.
