Kathmandu, January 3: Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the intentions and allegiance of the political leadership should be clear to establish good governance in the country. Addressing the post-handover program of the newly elected office bearers of the Kathmandu branch of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, he said that good governance can be achieved not by talking about ideals, but intention and integrity.
He recalled that when he led successive governments, he worked sincerely in favor of good governance against corruption, social justice against social discrimination and relief to the country from economic problems.
He said, “What I used to say and do when I was in the government, I have said the same thing when I am out of the government.” Gradually, people have understood that my intentions and loyalty are clear. “
He also said that serious questions have been raised in the House, and the people have tried to check the sincerity of the political leadership.
He said, “I am ready to contribute from my side for this. I am still firm in my resolve for good governance, social justice and prosperity when I was in the government, in this, the support of the journalism sector is also needed. Making it clear that the Nepali journalism sector has an important role to play in bringing about political change and stabilizing Nepal, he said that the Federation of Journalists should assert itself to face the current challenges.
